Meet Dr. Jorge Gómez-Vázquez

Dr. Jorge Gómez-Vázquez has been dedicated to serving the Laredo community for over 30 years.

He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and completed his residency in Family Medicine at Memorial Medical Center in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Dr. Gómez-Vázquez prioritizes clear communication and patient education, believing that a thorough understanding of medical treatments leads to better patient engagement and exceptional care.

He also emphasizes the role of faith in navigating the complexities of medical conditions, offering a comprehensive approach to patient well-being.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Gómez-Vázquez has served as an associate professor for multiple medical schools and residency programs across Texas, contributing to the education and training of future physicians.

He shares his passion for healthcare with his brothers: Dr. Roberto Gómez-Vázquez (surgeon), Dr. Jose Gómez-Vázquez (anesthesiologist), and Dr. Eduardo Gómez-Vázquez (family medicine). He follows in the footsteps of his father, Dr. Roberto Gómez-Lugo, a surgeon and the founder of Hospital San José in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico.
